What's the best time to switch to a new rate plan in Mobile Vikings for Business?
To switch to a new rate plan in Mobile Vikings for business, you have 2 options:
You switch immediately
Depending on when you received your current subscription bundles (so not your possible Viking Clan bundles), it's possible:
- you receive a one-off payment invitation for activating your new rate plan
- and/or your new rate plan isn't shown on your next payment invitation
There are several possible scenarios:
- you did not receive any subscription bundles after the 28th of the previous month. In this case, the contribution of your employer will be immediately applied to your new rate plan and it will appear on your next payment invitation.
- you received your subscription bundles after the 28th of the previous month and you switch to a new rate plan before the 29th of the current month. For this current month, the employer contribution for the "old" amount has already been applied. For your new rate plan, the employer contribution will therefore not be applied this one time. The new rate plan will appear on the first payment invitation you'll receive the next month.
- you switch rate plans on 29th, 30th or 31st of the current month:
- you did not receive new subscription bundles after the 28th of the current month: the employer contribution will be applied to the bundles of your new rate plan and will appear on the first payment invitation.
- you did receive new subscription bundles after the 28th of the current month: the employer contribution has been applied to these bundles and will appear on the payment invitation you'll receive next month. Therefore, one time you will not receive an employer contribution for your new rate plan, and it will only appear on the payment invitation you'll receive the month after.
You switch when the bundles of your current rate plan expire
Your new rate plan will be active as from your next bundle renewal. You can find this exact date in your My Viking account. The new rate plan will start appearing on your payment invitation after this renewal.
If you're switching to a rate plan higher than the one proposed by your employer, you'll receive a monthly payment invitation for the price difference.
